What is a SCADA System?
Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (or SCADA) is a control system consisting of computers, cellular devices, routers, networks, and cloud software that monitors machinery and processes across your plant or scope of operations. SCADA gathers real-time data from machine sensors, empowering operators and field managers to take action without having to visit each and every machine and device in the field.
SCADA architecture requires consistent communication between the sensors in your machines and your central command center. MCA offers SCADA solutions like cellular routers — with the ability to activate them for use on our gated networks for additional security — RTUs (remote terminal units) — for the automation and control of system sensor data — and device management and command center software.
