MCA to Expand North Carolina Footprint and Advance into Virginia with Acquisition of Gately Communication Company
Spartanburg, SC – September 4, 2018 – Mobile Communications America, (MCA), one of Motorola Solutions’ largest channel partners, today announced it has completed the acquisition of Gately Communication Company, GCC. The acquisition strengthens MCA’s commitment to providing a full solution portfolio and expanding trusted service capabilities throughout the Southeast.
GCC has four locations joining the MCA footprint; Hampton and Chesapeake, Virginia and Kill Devil Hills and Kinston, North Carolina. Most operations involving fabrication, assembly, warehousing, engineering, and pre-staging are done in GCC’s 17,000 square foot facility in Hampton, VA. GCC has been successful in providing services to a diverse customer base, including military, federal government, state and local government, education, healthcare, industrial, and commercial accounts.
The acquisition of GCC is an example of MCA’s strategic efforts to expand its solutions portfolio, engineering teams, and customer service foot-print throughout the Southeast. GCC’s success in serving customers in the North Carolina and Virginia markets grew the attention of MCA and represent the 34th, 35th, 36th, and 37th sites to join the group. MCA will continue to grow through acquisitions of established Motorola Solution’s Partners.
