The APX 4000: Compact Power. Rugged Reliability.
The Motorola Solutions APX™ 4000 delivers the core performance of the APX platform in a streamlined, rugged radio designed for public works, utility teams, and rural public safety users. With essential P25 Phase 2 capabilities, durable construction, and intuitive controls, it ensures reliable voice communication in the field – at a price point that suits budget-conscious agencies.
At MCA, we continue to support clients using the APX 4000, particularly for 900 MHz deployments, the only frequency band still in active production. For teams currently relying on legacy VHF, UHF, or 7/800 MHz APX 4000 models, we strongly recommend migrating to the APX N50 series for enhanced features, improved audio quality, and better software performance.
