Motorola Solutions and MCA collaborated to host the first annual "What Makes Your School a Star" video contest. The contest invited K-12 schools from around the country to submit videos honoring their favorite school heroes, highlighting outstanding achievements or demonstrating their efforts to ensure positive learning environments.

Florida State University Schools was voted the 2nd place winner with their video, showcasing their students and Christina Hanna, FSUS' Extended Day Director. The video shows the immense amount of creativity and passion that Hanna pours into the students and the after-school program each and every day. The after-school program provides academic enrichment through activities, tutoring, and mentorship. In this video, the excitement and enthusiasm of the students and counselors are seen so clearly on their faces.

As the runner-up in the video contest, FSUS won a total of $10,000 in radios and accessories from Motorola Solutions' MOTOTRBO portfolio. This kind of technology is vital in keeping school administrators and safety personnel connected, while also providing students a safe and positive learning environment. MCA shares our commitment to students, schools and local communities and strives to create a safer environment for schools around the country.

MCA also presented FSUS with a donation of $2,375.66 to pay the school's accrued cafeteria balance. We not only want to keep the students safe, but we also want to display our appreciation to those who dedicate so much time investing in our future leaders.
